Puppy Pitfall Prevention 

Puppies, regardless of age, have certain needs that must be fulfilled in order to allow them to become the companions owners can enjoy. Being a new parent to a puppy doesn’t have to be stressful. While our philosophy, rules and structure are consistent for teaching all dogs, we also have some specifics in our system to help you when dealing with puppy behavior like chewing, biting, jumping, puppy potty training and with puppy leash training. We will also address how to PREVENT future undesirable behavior from unintentionally being learned and practiced.

Puppies have some different and additional needs. The impressions we make on a puppy will affect the behavior of the puppy in the future. We spend the time with you teaching what to do and what NOT to do. Breaking puppy expectations down to small, easily learned steps is one facet of how we separate our approach from the conventional wisdoms in puppy training. Positive attitude toward learning is a must, and it doesn’t happen through experiencing failure after failure.

Giving you the tools and guidance for successfully teaching your puppy prevents the frustration and failure many dog owners experience. You will be guided on simple but important expectations like:

• Proper handling
• Overall supervision
• House breaking
• Crating
• Proper social interaction
• Healthy chewing behavior
• Proper play with humans and dogs

We will also teach you our art of praise, exercises for practicing clear communication of expectations, how to build confidence, trust and security. We will also lay additional foundation for future learning to be built on.
