Canines, regardless of age, have certain needs that must be fulfilled in order to allow them to become the animals people want as companions. While our philosophy and techniques are the same for teaching all dogs, we also have some specifics in our system when dealing with puppies. Puppies have some different and additional needs. The impressions we make on a pup will affect the pup for life. We spend the time with you teaching what to do and what not to do. Breaking puppy expectations down to small, easily learned steps is one facet of how we separate our approach from the conventional wisdoms in puppy training. Positive attitude toward learning is a must, and it doesn’t happen through experiencing failure after failure.
Giving you the tools and guidance for successfully teaching your puppy prevents the frustration and failure many dog owners experience. You will be guided on simple but important expectations like proper handling and overall supervision. House breaking, crating, proper social interaction, healthy chewing behavior, and play with humans and dogs are some of the focus during this consult. We will also teach you our art of praise, exercises for practicing communication of expectations, how to build confidence, trust and security, and we will lay additional foundation for future learning.
